Audio Drama

Audio drama unit of Media@idasa, in partnership with NOMMO Radio is assisting in reviving and elevating the genre of radio drama. We call it live Modern Audio Drama.

The objectives of this creative initiative is to disseminate information on relevant and current issues within the South African context; addressing such concerns as HIV/Aids, the environment, self esteem, sexuality, xenophobia, and teen issues…among others.

Another goal is to go into communities where these issues are a daily reality for many. In generating interest and discussion within these communities; a series of on-going workshops on live Audio Drama is facilitated by Anthony Sloan.
